GENERAL

The DDI Surface Readout (SRO) Gauge is a downhole pressure / temperature gauge with real time surface readout.

The gauge is attached to and lowered into a well on the end of a single conductor, armored electric line cable. It uses a standard e-line connection and is Mated to the cable using off-the-shelf cable heads. During a test, it continuously transmits pressure and temperature data to the surface for real time readout.

The surface unit provides power to and receives data transmissions from the downhole sensor on the same single conductor. It decodes the data packets and transmits them out an RS-232 port or USB port for capture by a computer or remote terminal unit. This allows real time data collection during a test and an instantaneous response to issues shown by the data.
 

The DDI-SRO Series Gauge uses the same proven piezo-resistive sensor and acquisition electronics as a number of our other pressure tools. It provides accurate and reliable data acquisition in a very cost-effective and convenient package.
